Adult apprentices take their material building workshops

During the month of March, the Instituto Nueva Escuela (INE) offered the Material Building Workshop to educators in their certification process to be Montessori guides at the Early Childhood, Elementary 1 and Elementary 2 levels.

The spaces of INE were filled with joy upon receiving each of these adult apprentices during the three days that the workshop was held. This building materials workshop is part of the certification curriculum and supports the guide in developing their prepared environment.

The materials must be beautiful, attractive to the boy and the girl, they must be well made. Coming in person to INE allowed the guides to see them, touch them, receive help in the construction process and answer questions. Course coordinators Juan Acevedo and Gladiza Santiago, as well as facilitator Vanesa Mulero, were in charge of these workshops.

The adult apprentices who participated in this workshop were those who, since the pandemic began, had to continue or start their courses virtually. This space served as a reunion and in some instances, to get to know each other, to see each other for the first time.

This space helped the guides fulfill their course requirements and at the same time contribute to the development of their environment.

Both groups, Early Childhood and Elementary, evaluated the experience as satisfactory and useful, and thanked for everything received.
